We came through advertisements of this new opened restaurant from Facebook and decided to give it a try. Honestly, the food is pretty disappointing.
The interior is well designed. However, the menu is not. We were bewildered by the menu as the menu displayed on TV is different than the one at the side. The TV menu did not state that there were options for the toppings. Also, the employee is quite impatient when we were taking our order and did not attempt give a good explanation of the menu.
Handmade Taro Ball Herb Jelly Ice (芋圓仙草冰)
The main character of this dish, handmade taro ball was quite a disappointment as it wasn't chewy and got a little bit sticky when you bite on it. The ice was another matter that got their marks deducted because it wasn't smooth enough and it dissolved quickly like it wasn't frozen properly. Going on to the herb jelly aka grass jelly on the menu, it wasn't scooped layerly so it was like a whole piece of jelly put right away into your bowl.
Traditional Crystal Sugar Tofu (冰糖豆花)
The biggest problem of this dessert is its temperature. It was neither cold nor hot. It wasn't even considered warm, its temperature was between cold and warm which is really weird. Then, of course we are going to talk about the tofu. Well, we call this a tofu but it wasn't actually a tofu/bean curd, there wasn't a specific name to differentiate the two food (Leave a comment if you need explanation or just google it :)). So, the problem is the tofu wasn't soft and smooth enough which make it taste more like bean curd rather than tofu, and there was also a little bit of bitterness because the water that was produced during the making process of tofu wasn't remove thoroughly.
The only thing we agreed in satisfaction is the free water served. It has a tint of lemon which enhances the freshness of the water. The water does not taste bitter which has definitely given a plus point.
All in all, we had an unpleasant experience. Therefore, the place is not recommended.
