[REVIEW] Miyagi Sushi Kajang Prima

By Unknown - April 18, 2018

Another newly opened Japanese cuisine restaurant in Kajang Prima area. I have always wanted to try this out ever since it opened. So, by using the chance of picking my sister up from school, we went there together.

Japanese Curry Udon
The udon was cooked too long resulting in the noodles was not chewy anymore. Based on my younger sister, the curry was flavourless, all it had was just spiciness. Among Japanese curry, this is consider quite spicy as Japanese curry was known to be not spicy. ( ´ ∀ ` ) (FYI, my younger sister's spiciness level is same as me.)

Kitsune Udon
Same as the curry udon, their udon was overcooked. The broth for this dish was rather light, but it compliment well with the sweetness of the fried tofu. Both the udon's portion was considered big, so for people who has a small appetite, I'd recommend you to share the bowl of udon with someone else.

Their unagi sushi has succulent teriyaki sauce and it was a rather normal dish, so there is no way they are gonna fail it. The ebi sushi was nice as the shrimp that was used was fresh. We also ordered a salmon sushi with roe, I don't really remember the exact name and it wasn't in the picture ( ´ . ` ) but the salmon wasn't fresh so it strongly pulled down the score of this dish. MOCHIIII ~~~ We loved mochi but their mochi didn't have a chewy texture, that makes it more like another kind of dessert, instead of mochi.

Tamago Yaki
This tamago yaki was the first dish that was served, as we were too hungry and forgot to take photo first, it turns out when we take the photo, there was only one left on the plate ( ´ . ` ) The outlook of this dish wasn't really convincing as the egg wasn't completely yellow and was like contaminated with black colour. However, the taste of the egg was pretty nice, unlike usual egg which was supposed to be salty, this dish was sweet. I like how the sweetness doesn't fully cover the taste of the egg.

Gyoza
The gyoza was wrapped nicely but the taste of the meat inside was lack of saltiness. You still can have the gyoza with the vinegar which would help with the taste.

The price for the sushi according to the plate colour. I thought that the sushi price would be like Sushi Mentai or some other similar sushi restaurant, however, it wasn't. The price set was pretty high considering the restaurant's interior design and the exterior of the restaurant. The first impression that I got judging from its exterior is that it's a shop similar like Sushi Mentai, however, it wasn't. Their concept they got is like another Japanese restaurant in the area which is more like a luxurious concept. But the problem is Miyagi couldn't give the same ambience that you can get in that restaurant.

In short, I wouldn't recommend you to have your meal here if you are going to pay at this level of price since you can get a better ambience and better food with the same price in just a few blocks away.
