[REVIEW] Satay Putera Kajang

By Unknown - February 22, 2018

Satay! A popular dish in Malaysia, especially Kajang. We found this restaurant unintentionally and it turns out quite nice.

They sell different kind of meat of satay and also for vegetarian ones. Unlike old times, their satay is not grill by using charcoal but heat with electricity instead. This makes the satay does not taste as nice as grilling with charcoal. Despite the little flaw, it is considered pretty nice as they don't skewer the meat skin which is oily in the middle of the meat.

The peanut sauce is filled in a cup which makes the eating process of satay easier and more convenient. Because you wouldn't drip the sauce all over the table while eating and you can also fully dip your satay in the sauce easily. :)

They also have otak-otak (English translate : brain-brain). Haha, no worries, it is not real brain XD It is actually grilled fish cake made of ground fish meat mixed with tapioca starch and spices. Their otak-otak is a little bit lack of spiciness, but overall the taste is considered not bad.

Their Mee Hailam is not so nice as it has nothing else besides the salty taste. /.\ The drinks of the shop is pretty good and they aren't stingy with the volume of the drinks. It can definitely help you to chill on a hot weather day.

The old times way to sell satay is displayed on the other side of the shop too. They have a few place for you to sit down and take picture that would be instagrammable.

Getting here is easy, you can take the MRT to station Stadium Kajang and exit at Exit B. After going down the stairs you can see the shop a few metres away at your right. Or you can drive here following the location provided below:
